Super Bowl XL
OK, so I want to take a nap right now, but I'll put this out there in case I don't have time between my nap and getting to my Super Bowl party of choice. I'm hoping the Steelers ride this thing all the way out. I love the story of them coming from the sixth (aka last) seed in the AFC to mow down the top three seeds all on the road to get to Detroit. Their fans are the epitome of 'die hard'. Their coach is the quintessential hard-nosed football coach. Jerome Bettis is a pretty nice guy, and he gets to play for the Lombardi Trophy in front of his old hometown friends and family in his last NFL game. And their led by a QB named "Big Ben". I can get behind these guys. I like Shaun Alexander, and it wouldn't hurt my feelings if Seattle wins this thing, but in a matchup that features two teams that I have no particular affiliation with, I'll take the Steelers.
Here's hoping for some great commercials...

Matt Leinart + New Orleans Saints = Super Bowl XLV!
I only say that because it looks like Denver will try to get Terrell or Ricky Williams, and I can't be a good Broncos fan with either of those boneheads there. I'll have to wait til they retire or leave my team in shambles.
My name is Casey. I saw a comment on Liz's new blog and thought I might know you. The fact is that if Adam and I were both in a room together.. you wouldn't know which one of us was which.
Going into the SuperBowl I felt the same way. I didn't know who would win, but I wanted the Steelers to come out as champs. Big Ben, Coach Cower, The Bus.. AND THEY WON! However, (sigh)
I would say that was the weakest superbowl I've ever seen. I mean, from the national anthem to the confetti and the speaches. The officiating was really bad and I couldn't help but feel like Seattle played a better game that day. There.. I had to vent a little to somebody besides my wife (who nods graciously BTW).
